    In A-Level Biology you will study a diverse range of organisms including animals, plants and microorganisms.  You will learn about the biochemistry of living organisms and the molecules they are made from, understanding how these molecules function in cells and their genetic control.  You will study the physiology of a range of organisms, looking at the transport, exchange and control systems.  You will also study how organisms interact with each other and the ecosystem around them.

    Biology is the study of life, if you are curious about the living world around you and wish to understand living organisms in more depth, you will enjoy A-level Biology.  As well as developing your understanding, A-level Biology will develop your problem solving, application and data analysis skills.  You will also complete an extensive range of practical activities to support your learning in specialised laboratories.
